Skills Audit : LiveType and Sound

Livetype is a software program developed by Apple inc. to create animated title sequences for video projects. Livetype is used to create credits on your video. You can insert a number of different text effects to create your credits to your title sequences. There are several of preset animations and text effects to which you can customize hem with fades, zooms and motion or create your own. It also helps by treating each character of a word as a separate layer, by animating single letters, not just entire blocks of text.

SoundTrack Pro is used to help you edit, mix and create your own music for your video. There are a number of different genre to which you can chose from such as:
  • Instruments
  • Beats
  • Drums
  • Violins
  • Voices
  • And much more

Sound is very important in a film as it helps build up tension and create the scene of the film. It also help portray the characters feelings and by the that the audience would respond as they would see the point of view and would properly feel the same way. The sound helps keep the film interesting as it creates suspense in the film and therefore the audience would want to keep watching as they want to know what happens next.
the different genres on the film are used depending on the situation of what's happening in the film. For example someone could be doing nothing and laying down in bed therefore the music would be slow and low however if someone was running the music could be very fast as if running with the person to which could be running away from someone therefore the music may show their desperation.
