REPRESENTATION OF WOMEN
This media product represents women in a negative way and there are no stereotypes involved in it. Women are represented in various way s in this film opening (vulnerable, strong, sexy Mysterious and dangerous) which I feel might confuse the audience but I don’t think it’s a bad thing that the audience are confused at first because its just the opening to the movie, if anything I think it’s a good thing because then they want to know how the movie unveils itself.
The first screen grab to the left represents women as sexy and self confident. The character looks in to the mirror and seems happy with herself. If you look closer it seems as though she has a slight grin. This could signify the fact that shes happy with the way she looks or is looking forward to what is about to happen. The screen grab to the right represents women as vulrenable and small. it seems as though the character feels uncomfortable with the man's hand on her shoulders but can't really do anything about it.
The first screen grab to the left is of the character telling off one of the workers. Do you notice the intimidating look? Also shes been shot from a low angle to make her appear superior to the man (worker). in the Screen grab to the right the character (woman) is about to give money
to the worker but is waiting for him to give her what she requested for. women are represented as intimidating and in control in the two screen grabs.
